Social Impact | Agricultural Industry
One fight at a time
We aim to be the trusted tools and resources multiple stakeholders will be able to access to create an impact for all tea plantation workers in Assam and India.

We believe that everyone should earn a wage sufficient to afford a decent standard of living, and we have established several initiatives to help advance fair pay and employment conditions throughout our direct operations and broader value chain.
Target area: Assam, India, Tea Plantations
Why it matters.
The current wages of workers is 81% lower than a living wage. Fair pay, inclusive of wages and benefits, is one of the most important employment conditions, and it plays a critical role in improving livelihoods, building resilient communities, and fostering sustainable economies. In addition, reducing power imbalances within the tea industry and amplifying the allocation of profits can foster a more impartial and righteous system for all stakeholders.
Problem
Today, more than 700 million people live in extreme poverty and are unable to afford basic needs such as food, healthcare, and access to clean water

Domino Effect
Low wages remain a significant driver of poverty, with approximately 8% of employed workers and their families living in extreme poverty worldwide
Opportunity
Leverage existing systems, services & technology to achieve action on this sector.

Campaign Partnership with Pepsi

For every limited edition Pepsi product purchased a donation would be made to the organization working to support tea workers in India. They also come with personal stories of labourers and the challenges they experience in tea plantations.
Campaign Partnership with Britannia

We aim to collaborate with Britannia to introduce a special edition of biscuit packaging that showcases the livelihood conditions of tea workers. For every limited edition biscuit sold Britannia, the company will donate INR 2 to our NGO which means that the customer will not bear the cost of the donation.
